Greetings from my dining room table! I'm actually supposed to be doing school work right now, but I did so much yesterday and earlier that I think I deserve a short break.
And so begins the tale mentioned in the title.
Once upon a time
It was a dark and stormy night, seriously. There was so much powder falling there was nearly a white out. Anyhoo, On this dark and stormy night....wait. DARK and stormy night? Aren't all nights...y'know..dark? Whatever. So it was dark and stormy, and I got an urge to download some music that I used to listen to when I was eleven or twelve. Good old turn-of-the-millenium music. So I hopped on iTunes, redeemed some christmas gift cards, and this is what I downloaded:
Steal my Sunshine by Len
Mambo No. 5 by Lou Bega
Jumpin' Jumpin' by Desity's Child
It's My Life by Bon Jovi
Drops of Jupiter, Calling All Angels, and Meet Virginia by Trian
Then the Morning Comes, I'm a believer, and All Star by Smash Mouth
It's not really my typical music style, but I really like these hits, especially the ones by Train. I haven't heard them on the radio in forever.
On to the next part of the story. My parents went cross country skiing today, and that means I got to go out for lunch. Of course, since I am SO heath concerned and SO crazy about eating the right things, I went toget fried fish. I must say it was delicious, but I'm worried I have put on a few pounds so perhaps I should slow down.
That was the boring middle part of the story. Most novels have one, so why not my quick tale?
Now for the climax.
I got quite the interesting phone call last night. It was a friend of mine from the anime convention, the one who had helped me get in contact with Mike. So I picked up the phone, and this is how the conversation went (Improvised slightly since I don't remember exactly what she or I said.)
Me: Hello?
Her: Hi! So have you been talking to Mike?
Me: Yeah, he's really cool. We talk on the phone sometimes too.
Her: Oh! Bad girl! That's MY job!
Me:....um. Ok?
Her: Yeah, I we're going to share a room at Colossal Con this year. And, heh...you know.
Me: Oh. That's nice.
And it continued on in that manner. Of course after listening to her I'm-just-kidding-but-I'm-totally-telling-you-to-back-off routine for a few more minutes, I told her I had to go and hung up. I called Mike, not really upset but just in shock. The best part of this story?
He said she's kind of creepy and that she really needs to lay off.
Hahahahahaha. Made my freakin' day.
Now I suppose I should stop rambling and get back to school work.
Ugh.
Catch ya later, Lunar Crater!
